Ancient Churches in the Zawieh Our Lady of Daraya The Church of Our Lady of Daraya stands in the heart of the village. It was in ruins but was rebuilt in 1860 by Father Maroun Alam. In 1984 the plaster covering its interior walls was removed and its exterior walls were faced wis colored stones forming a splendid mosaic picture.
Our Lady of al-Sheer (Aarjess) The church of Our Lady of Al-Sheer stands majestically engraved in a rock. The road to the shrine is newly paved and leads to an outdoor stone bench built at the threshold of two doors. The first door is the current entrance to the shrine, and the second is engraved in the rocks and acts as a window illuminating the interior. It is mostly that this shrine was originally a Canaanite-Phoenician tomb, since using tombs carved in rocks was well-known Canaanite method of burial.
Our Lady of Kfarchakhna The church of Our Lady of Kfarchakhna is an ancient church situated on the outskirts of the village but its four walls and apse alone remain standing. It is said to date back to 770 A.D.; however there are no documents to sustain that belief.
Our Lady of Mejdlaya The church of Our Lady of Mejdlaya has stood tall like a fort on the ruins of an older church since mid 16th century.
